Development Innovation Ventures is recruiting highly motivated and talented staff eager to test innovative solutions and to scale proven successes.

Interested Candidates: please send your resume to DIVjobs@usaid.gov and use the email subject line to state your primary skill set from those listed in bold below.

U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is dedicated to reducing poverty, promoting economic development, and strengthening democracy around the world. USAID recently launched Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) to invest in projects that will produce development outcomes more effectively and cost-efficiently while managing risk and obtaining leverage. Project proposals from international academics, NGOs, and the private sector are competitively selected. Through DIV, USAID seeks to identify, support, and rigorously test promising projects with the potential to significantly (rather than incrementally) improve development outcomes, and help replicate and scale projects that are proven successful. DIV expects its most successful of investments will have an accelerated growth path to reach tens of millions of beneficiaries worldwide within 10 years. For more information visit us at www.usaid.gov/div.

Over the next year DIV will be using various hiring mechanisms to recruit highly motivated staff with various skill sets including: due diligence of project proposals, active management of grants, monitoring and evaluation (including rigorous impact evaluation), and scaling projects that are proven successful via USAID activities, other external partners, or the private sector. DIV is also recruiting Innovation Fellows for highly selective full and part-time positions. Innovation Fellows are development leaders in academia and the private sector who will collaborate with USAID staff to develop, evaluate and scale effective projects.

We will consider candidates for two position categories, civil service and non-civil service. Candidates interested in civil service positions should periodically visit the USAID website (www.usaid.gov/careers) and the USA Jobs website (www.usajobs.gov) and apply to DIV. Candidates interested in all other positions should send their resumes to DIVjobs@usaid.gov and use the email subject line to state their primary skill set from those listed in bold in the paragraph above. Candidates should be U.S. citizens. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
