Foundation Alliances

USAID and foundations collaborate through sharing of networks, expertise, and joint innovation to undertake challenges that no one organization can solve on its own. Some partnerships are catalytic; the German Marshall Fund and Charles Stewart Mott Foundation partnered with USAID as co-creators of the Balkan Trust for Democracy, supporting democracy and good governance in Southeastern Europe.

Research

Public-private partnerships for development have gained notable reputation and accountability. These alliances have proven to be beneficial for both business and society. USAID and GP recognize the potential and have provided the following publications regarding the impact of public-private partnerships.

Alliance Tools

To address fundamental and applied questions in building public-private alliances, the Global Partnerships Division encourages USAID staff and external Alliance Builders to utilize the alliance resource section. USAID staff engaged in alliance building can use this section to understand, navigate, and smoothly link processes.
